Candy Gram Pail
I had a hard time coming up with an end of the year gift for Jaxson's teacher. I finally decided on a candy gram, but I didn't want to put it on a piece of poster board. I saw these pails at Michaels and thought it would be a perfect fit for the candy. Here is what the note says:
I SKORed big when I got you for a teacher. Don't SNICKER, but I think you're great! You are MOUNDS of fun and you have brought me so much JOY. I think you ROCK. (pop rocks) Thanks BEARY much (gummy bears) for always being so JOLLY (jolly ranchers) and for helping me become such a SMARTIE. Teachers like you are worth a MINT. (york peppermint patty) I'd be a NERD if I didn't thank you for helping me put the PIECES (reeses pieces) of the knowledge puzzle together. You are Might Magnificent. (m&ms) Thanks for a great year!
I also thought it would be cute to have Jaxson draw a picture to put on the lid of the pail; we just haven't gotten that far yet!

ReplyDeletewhere did you get clear bucket?
ReplyDeleteYou can get the clear buckets from oriental trading or micheals arts and craft store online, good luck :+) you can also google search for them as well.
DeleteWhat a clever idea! I might have to try one for my friend with some different candy....maybe a salted nut roll, cause she's a bit nutty sometimes lol. She is a candyaholic and would love something like this. I would like to post this to MY blog if with a link back to yours, if that's ok. Very cute!!!! www.phyllisspawdesigns.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI looked for one of these pails online but cannot find one. :-(
ReplyDeleteMichael's has them, this size and a smaller one..
DeleteI will be making one of these for my granddaughter's kindergarten teacher...sooooo cute...
ReplyDeleteIf you can't find the bucket, use a clean/dry 2 liter pop bottle, you cut a slit in the side, insert your items and then tape the poem around the bottle. Decorate it with ribbon and cover the top of the bottle (cap) with some tissue/ribbons and a gift tag. Container costs you next to nothing this way.
ReplyDeleteHi! Just wanted to let you know that one of your ideas was included in our latest post. Thanks for the inspiration!
